Today the Denver Business Journal published a story on us. The writer Greg Avery was the writer. We’re thankful for the nice article and really enjoyed working with Greg.
Here’s an excerpt:
Denver-based startup Mojofiti Inc. aims to erase language barriers online and become a worldwide platform where millions of people can connect.
Mojofiti’s new free blog platform and social network instantaneously translate website material to the language to which the reader’s Internet browser is set. Mojofiti.com translates the 27 languages most commonly used online and plans to expand on that number.
The 16-employee company plans to make money by charging users who need more nuanced or specialized online translation. Mojofiti expects to launch the premium service before year-end, and that many of its paying customers will be businesses with multinational customers.
The worldwide translation market is estimated to be $14 billion annually.
The thing that makes this so great IMHO is that it continues to let people know that language barriers do not have to exist – that together we can create new cross-cultural communications. When I think about the humanitarian effect this will have on peace, hunger, you name it. I’m grateful to be part of the team.
Thanks Greg, and thanks Kathryn at 104 degrees west
